Imagine spending your entire childhood in a tiny cage outside with no 1 other than your sister by your side crammed in the cage with you and only fed once in awhile. That s what Cagney and Lacey endured for the 1st 2 yrs of their lives before their owner decided he did not want them anymore. Their owner surrendered them to a very high kill southern animal control facility where they were going to be euthanized because they were both emaciated and acted completely feral (wild) due to their lack of socialization. We couldn t bear to let these babies die all alone never knowing the loving touch of a human so a very large committee of volunteers committed to saving them at any cost.Cagney and Lacey are believed to be rat terriers and siblings. The veterinarian estimated their age at 2 yrs old. When they were 1st rescued they were immediately taken to the veterinarian to be assessed and were found to have almost every possible parasite....
