Duke was surrendered to the shelter when his owner said he didn t want him anymore. The shelter staff can t understand that because Duke is the sweetest best most loving husky they have ever met He is about 7 years old and weighs 58 lbs. Duke will need to be neutered and then he will start his heartworm treatment. Yes because the owner never took Duke to the vet in the five years he owned him for proper care and prevention this sweetie will have to go through heartworm treatment. It will not cost his new family anything and will be completed by the shelter before his adoption is finalized. Come meet this talkative boy who is good with other dogs and animals kids and doesn t escape fences (See what we mean about this being the best husky ever ) Duke does not appear to be used to living inside so we would be willing to adopt him as an outside dog with proper care and accommodations Unless otherwise stated the adoption fee for dogs over 4 months is 120.00. Puppies under 4 months are 140.00 The adoption fee includes the animal s surgery microchip vaccinations flea preventative deworming medication sample bag of food treat samples and a free first exam with participating veterinarians. Shelter policy is that all animals must be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter.Our shelter is open to the public on Monday Wednesday Friday and Saturday from 1 00 pm until 5 00 pm and other times by appointment.
