Diego is an 11 yr old neutered male black and tan Short hair Dachshund looking for the perfect forever home. Diego has lived with other dogs both his size and larger and really enjoys canine companionship. He hasn t had previous experience with very young children but seeks attention from people ranging from older kids to seniors Diego would do best in a home that either does not have cats or that has confident dog-savvy cats and the ability to acclimate Diego slowly - he has demonstrated a very strong interest in chasing cats when 1st introduced to them although that interest does wane over time. He walks nicely on leash is housetrained and makes an excellent door alarm. Diego is very healthy for his age (he does need a dental and a couple of teeth extracted which SOFA is working on scheduling) and Dachshunds commonly live up to seventeen years so Diego has lots of love yet to share with a very special family....
