Let s get off on the right foot...uh paw Cookie is a boy dog not a girl Actually Cookie is a distinguished older gentleman who has a somewhat reserved manner. Take your time introducing yourself - extend a hand or a leash within sniffing distance and after a little time Cookie will allow you to pet him and slip the leash over his head. He will then rise and follow you out for a nice stroll. Cookie walks at his own pace stopping and sniffing here and there. He can be a little stubborn about leaving a spot until he is ready but who would be more entitled to linger Cookie allows himself to be held but appreciates it when you are slow and gentle when picking him up - he just wants to know what is going on At just five pounds Cookie is light armful and his wise little face fits perfectly in the crook of your neck.
