Chibi is a three year old 13lb red female Shiba Inu who has lived with another dog and little children. Unfortunately her former family was misadvised by a trainer and used a shock collar on Chibi. Because of this she became unpredictable with her family and they chose to try to rehome her. Chibi loves to meet new people and will give them kisses but doesn t like to be petted too long.Here are our main concerns with Chibi and behavior issues that will need to be addressed with continued behavior modification after adoption.Body handling issues Chibi has a low tolerance for body-handling. From simple brushing nail trimming and even petting.Triggers Being picked up (cue the pickup and reward and release)Petting too long always stop before she seems uncomfortable. She previously expected to nip at people to get them to stop. This behavior needs to stop. She now runs after foster for more pets.Guarding humans from other dogs- no issue with other people....
