Colt was found chained and abandoned in the back yard of what he knew as home. Fortunately a man who was working in the area discovered him. He waited a week thinking surely someone was coming back for him. At the end of that week he realized no 1 was coming back and brought him to CARA.Okay well that s most of the story. The rest of the story is that Colt had a buddy that was with him in that backyard. While Colt was chained Wesson was a young puppy who had spent that entire time right there beside his buddy with no chain to keep him there. He chose to stay right there next to Colt even to the point that he had become severely emaciated. He could have left gone in search of food but he had refused to leave his chained friend. Wesson was in such bad shape when we got him. The 1st few days were touch and go as we weren t sure that he could make the comeback. Colt stood watch over his younger buddy until he did make that comeback....
