Meet Oscar This darling eight pound six year old(veterinarian estimated) Poodle was picked up as a stray in Prince George s County Maryland. No 1 ever came to claim him and no 1 was surprised that they didn t because of the condition he was in when he arrived at the shelter. Oscar had to be completely shaved down because he was full of dirt debris and painful mats that were twisting his skin. From what we can tell his coat was mostly white. Once he was shaved and bathed he felt so much better. We have no idea how long this little man was on the streets or even how he survived....but that is all behind him now.Oscar has been neutered and brought up to date on his vaccines. He has tested negative for heartworm disease and is now on a monthly preventative. He also received a much needed dental and lost several teeth. His mouth was 1 of the worst we have seen in some time and we are so glad he is no longer in pain from decaying teeth....
