The sob story I am a disabled vet (Navy) who can t seem to catch a break. My husband of 13 years abandoned me and my two children (ages 9 and 14) a few months ago and though I tried to venture out and survive on my own everything has fallen apart as he has decided to be nothing more than a Jerry Springer episode (refused to pay child support). So I find myself and my little family being evicted and as of Tuesday this week we will be homeless. We have been staying in our apartment without any power since Wednesday. I have enough money to spend a couple of nights in a hotel but then I will be wiped out for the month and that is really not practical. That wouldn t account for food or anything else we might need until the 1st when I receive my disability benefits checks again from both SSI and the VA. I make approximately 2 300 a month. I am looking to find a place to Rent (or whatever) ASAP and the length of time doesn t really matter at this point we just need somewhere to go for now. Because of the events leading up to our unfortunate demise my credit has been destroyed (in only 3 months it has fallen from a robust 720 to a pathetic 564) so I need a place that won t do any background checks that would disqualify me from renting. Although I probably sound like a huge risk I am dedicated to finding a solution that would be beneficial to both my family and someone looking to pay their rent get out of their lease. My kids are currently going to schools in Oak Hill and I would love to stay in that area for this reason but it is not imperative. Desperation leads to change and I will go wherever we need to in order to survive this awful hiccup in our lives. I am normally very responsible with my bills and debts and look forward to proving it in my next housing situation. I just need some understanding and a second chance. This is what I was trained to do for the Navy and I have held many civilian contracts with major corporations since I left active duty) so I can throw in any sort of support for your computer network (be it at your home apartment place of business) that might be needed for free. Whatever I need to do to sweeten the pot so to speak. )
