Jackie is an owner surrender. It seems the owner just let Jackie roam free and a year ago she was picked up having been shot in the upper leg and required surgery. Letting her loose again Jackie most recently got into some mischief and bothered the neighbor s chickens. Instead of erecting a fence to keep Jackie safe and out of trouble her owner decided he didn t want any problems with the neighbor so he sent Jackie to the shelter. She will need a home where she can be kept safe behind a fence or always taken out with a leash. Jackie tested positive for Lyme s and is undergoing a course of oral antibiotics which she can complete in her new home. Jackie is 4 yrs old and weighs 67lbs.
