While Oscar-the-Grouch s mission in life is to be as miserable and grouchy as possible our Oscar is anything but grouchy This beautiful 2 yr old black Retriever mixture is a friendly and outgoing boy with a cheery personality How he found himself in a high kill shelter in St. Laundry s Parish Louisiana we will never know. It surely seems that he was once someone s pet and we can t help but wonder where was Oscar s family and why was there no 1 frantically searching for their beloved pal This tender soul was in a very scary and dangerous situation in a southern shelter with a very high euthanasia rate. Not being a bouncy bundle-of-fluff puppy and being black in coloring the color least adopted Oscar s life was in danger. Although Oscar did not deserve this disloyalty from his family he holds no grudge and is happy and grateful for each day. He is the most loving fella you will ever meet and the most sweet thing about Oscar is his heart and spirit....
