Miss Bell is in every way a lovely Southern Belle She comes to our rescue all the way from Louisiana where she was dumped at a high kill shelter by her owner in the night drop-off box with a note that said her owner was moving and could not take her. Bell had grown up with the same family (with kids) for all of her 8yrs and suddenly found herself in a very scary situation about to die due to the overcrowding at the shelter. We believe no dog should have to endure that kind of an end especially after 8yrs of loyalty to her family We stepped in saved her life and brought her to Maryland where she has been living with a doting foster family.Bell was extremely thin when we got her and she is now 53lbs. and could stand to gain a little more weight to be considered at ideal weight. She is spayed heart worm negative has been dewormed and is up to date on all her vaccines. She is perfectly healthy now and has begun to act young and spry again not at all like the eight years old we were told she is....
