Rescued Dog Becomes Rescuer Gracie a four year old foxhound is turning her sad beginning into a story of pure determination. After almost being euthanized while pregnant this momma got another chance at life. A volunteer for Barktown rescue took Gracie home and helped her raise her pups. With her pups gone Gracie went to live in her current foster home with Joshua and Janna Mathews while she waited to find her fur-ever home. But Gracie s story does not end there. On Monday November 4 2013 Gracie started trying to dig her way out from under the Mathews 6 ft privacy fence. When that did not work she started trying to jump over the fence a ll the while making an unusual ruckus. She also refused to come back inside the house when called. Gracie s behavior caught the attention of her foster parents. When they came out to see what was going on they discovered that Gracie was trying to reach 2 four-week-old kittens who were sitting in water in a drainage ditch....
