Agatha is possibly the most resilient dog that I ve ever encountered. Agatha was thrown from a moving vehicle and a local resident saw it happen. They immediately picked her up and took her to the shelter. It was very obvious that Agatha had recently had a litter of pups. Agatha was emaciated had heartworms and also had severe demodex mange. As fate would have it a litter of orphaned pups was already at the shelter that were in need of a momma dog to nurse on. Upon arrival Agatha immediately took in the litter and began nursing them. It doesn t end there though. Agatha delivered 1 more of her own less than 24 hours later to make a total of eight pups that she was taking care of. Agatha has a terrific demeanor and disposition. I ve never seen any aggression in her and she gets along with all dogs. She walks nice on a leash. She also responds very well to correction loves to play outside in the back yard. She hasn t gotten to run very much since her heartworm treatments required restricted activity....
