On March 30 2016 King was surrendered to Helping Homeless Felines by a Great Samaritan after he was found injured and struggling to stand on the side of a busy road in Northern Virginia.King had been hit and run over by an automobile. Knowing that HHF is a safe haven for community cats in need of attention and medical care this kind person immediately contacted HHF for assistance and HHF agreed to help. On March 31 Val Garcia President of HHF brought King to the Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Falls Church Virginia for a comprehensive physical exam. The veterinarians determined that Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery followed by a month of kennel rest to address his fractures was the most humane and effective plan.King underwent the surgery to repair his injured hip and pelvis on April 5 and he spent four weeks recovering at the loving home of 1 of Pets Bring Joy s volunteers (Helen)....
