Howl-o there I m Cooper. I am a lively seven month old red Labrador mix looking for an active family.HOW DID I COME INTO HHHS I came into the shelter on 05 17 16 because my previous owner couldn t take care of me anymore.HEIGHT 22 at the shoulder WEIGHT 52 lbs.HOW MUCH EXERCISE DO I NEED I m still pretty young and the breeds I m mixed with are smart and active so I would love an active family who can give me lots of exercise. Different activities will keep my brain and body busy in a healthy nondestructive way.Regular exercise will keep me healthy happy and better behaved. Let s go to the bark park play fetch and explore some trails Walking in new territory will help keep me mentally active as I smell all the interesting smells DO I HAVE ANY SPECIAL TOYS I love hard toys and soft toy basically any toy you can toss and I can fetch for you. DO I KNOW ANY TRICKS I can sit. If you have some soft treats and some time I bet you could teach me all kinds of new tricks. I would love to attend some training classes to help work on my manners and socialization. AM I A GOOD INSIDE DOG I came into the shelter as a stray but I think I would make a good inside dog with a little time and training I would love to live inside so I can spend lots of quality time with my family. Please just take me out to exercise often and don t be afraid to crate me when you aren t home Bored puppies like to chew. Kennel time can be comforting if you make it a positive experience for me give me a special toy some treats and play some nice classical music and I ll mostly sleep while you re gone.DO I LIKE CATS The breeds I m mixed with have a tendency to chase small fuzzy things so make sure your Adoption Counselor does a cat test with me if you have feline family members at home.DO I LIKE CHILDREN I haven t been around children while at the shelter so make sure to bring the whole family in to meet me.DO I LIKE OTHER DOGS I am a rough player so it I do encourage you to bring in your canine friend to visit to make sure it s a right match.I am a cool boy that is very outgoing.
