Pippa (1 year old) is a Domestic Short Hair Cat. Hi my name is Pippa Sadly this is my second time here. I was first brought to the VBSPCA in January of 2016 by a longtime volunteer and feral cat caretaker. I was found in a feral cat colony in Virginia Beach but it was very clear that I wasn t feral nor was I used to being an outdoor cat I was able to be handled by her and was actually quite affectionate with the caretaker so she brought me here in hopes that I could find a healthy and happy INDOOR home for the New Year I was quickly adopted but returned after only 3 months because I scratched a few items in the home inappropriately. Scratching is a natural behavior for cats and can be easily resolved by finding appropriate cat-friendly items to scratch. I seem to really like sisal rope so my next home should find me a few scratching options with sisal rope Black cats like me unfortunately have the lowest adoption rates in the country due to some old superstitions that we re bad luck.
