Meet Hugo This tiny but mighty dog is so ready to be your best friend He is 18 pounds of great energy. We think Hugo is a Welsh Corgi mixed with Chihuahua and a bit of French Bulldog. He is a true mutt. He is three years old and was rescued out of The Pasadena Humane Society. He is currently in a dog-savvy foster home with three dogs and three cats. Hugo is a champ on the leash. He loves loves loves to go for walks. He is also crate-trained and housebroken. Hugo also thinks it is a blast to go on car rides. He is a fantastic companion. Hugo LOVES to play. He loves to engage dogs of all sizes to run around play bow and tussle with toys. In his foster home he loves to run around the house and try to get everyone to do zoomies with him. His only tiny flaw is he does not know when some dogs do NOT want to play. So if your dog gets cranky if other dogs try to engage play Hugo is not the dog for you. Hugo is confident walks with his tail up and a smile on his face. In his foster home one of the resident dogs is an older female pit bull. She does not always like Hugo in her face and can get VERY cranky with him. Hugo does not understand this so they only allow supervised play time with Hugo and their pit bull. But other than that Hugo is a total love with the other dogs. Hugo also likes people. He may bark at strangers when he first meets them. But his foster parents are working with treat training with strangers so he does not bark. He is responding and learning very quickly. Hugo LOVES his foster family and very much loves to be a part of all activities from working in the year to watching Netflix. Hugo likes to be in the mix and snuggling close. If you have cats .Hugo will needs some work. His foster home has three cats. Hugo tends to growl and chase them. But if the cat stands his her ground and swats at Hugo he totally backs down (and even yelps). His foster family is working with Hugo and the chasing of the cats with squirt bottles. Hugo doe NOT like to be squirted with water. They are hopeful that in time Hugo will be a gentleman around all cats. Hugo is also good around OLDER kids. He loves kids of all ages but due to his confidence level we think it would be best if he were in a home with kids who are 13 and older. All in all Hugo is a great little guy.
