NAME Joni Mitchell AGE GENDER 5 years Female BREED Chihuahua TEMPERAMENT Sassy sweet eager WEIGHT 14 lbs HOUSE TRAINING Great CRATE TRAINING Joni enjoys eating meals and spending alone time in her crate but she is not keen on being crated at night. She uses her crate as a safe place when stressed or in a mood. OTHER DOGS Joni does well with calm dogs. She is not fond of high energy dogs in her space. CATS Perfect Joni is living in a foster home with two cats. CHILDREN Joni would do best in an understanding adult only home. ADOPTION DONATION 350 HEALTH Joni is healthy Joni takes fluoxetine to stabilize her mood and it has been working wonderfully. Fluoxetine is a very inexpensive medication that costs approximately 10 month. Joni also walks on a harness to prevent any trachea issues which is very common in her mix of breeds. She is spayed microchipped flea treated dewormed and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. In addition all pets adopted from Motley Zoo come with 30 days of free pet insurance provided by Shelter Care. HISTORY Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find Joni a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME Joni is super sweet and so eager to please. She wants to be a good girl and she needs to be your best friend. She puts total trust in you however she is also opinionated. She can get moody but don t we all Joni will self-regulate herself by staying in her crate and giving herself alone time to chill out. Joni is active and would be a great compact hiking buddy and loves to cuddle when it suits her. She prefers to be in the same room with you but sometimes enjoys snuggling up in her own bed in another room. Joni thrives in her environment when she feels security leadership boundaries and respect. She loves to explore have fun sneak morsels of cat food go outside right after being outside and napping the day away. Joni s perfect home would include an experience dog owner who is able to read her signals and address them accordingly. Joni would do well with another dog as long as she has a balance of loving indulgence and comprehensive boundaries. She needs and wants to establish meaningful connections and be provided with a calm environment. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness depending on each dog s particular needs. Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue.
