Fortis - Female Pit Bull Terrier Mix

Hi there I m Fortis. I am 5 years old 45 pounds female Red Nosed Pitbull. My Foster Mom calls me a snuggle bug because as soon as I meet someone I back up and lean against them for snuggles. I love to go for walks and let the neighborhood kids give me hugs and belly rubs. Sadly my life before being saved by Angels Among Us was not as happy. I was found on the side of the road after being thrown out of a moving car and left. When the police came to remove me from the road they realized that I was still alive and took me to the shelter. I had a broken back and needed surgery to have the chance to walk. On February 17th I had surgery to fix my broken back. I m doing much better now and I am learning how to walk and play again. I walk nicely on a leash and love to sleep in my crate as long as I have some soft blankets to snuggle with. I would love to play with my small & big foster 4 legged siblings but on top of everything else I am Heartworm positive. I m not allowed to get too excited so we just say HIYA through the baby gate. I m available now for pre-adoption and will be available early June to go to my forever home.
