Dora - Female Domestic Shorthair Mix

DORA is a beautiful young short-haired white female with a brown tabby mask cape and tail -- and some pretty orange highlights. She s about 2 years old and she s polydactyl (extra toes on her front paws) She was rescued from a group of 60 cats in Oakridge that lived as indoor-outdoor cats in a home where they were allowed to proliferate without being spayed neutered. The owners then left the home and some wonderful caretakers took care of the kitties until they could be fixed and find new homes. Dora was raised with much love and care and she was named after Dora the Explorer because she was always the adventure seeking kitten. She is very shy at first and will likely hide for a few days in her new home until she feels safe. Once you earn her trust she is a very sweet and loving kitty companion. She REALLY enjoys the company of other cats and though she has not been around dogs before she might be OK with a gentle cat-savvy dog. This gentle soul will thrive in a quiet household with adults or older kids. She would be happiest as an indoor-outdoor kitty but only in a home where there is a very SAFE outdoor environment however she is young enough that with patience and careful monitoring she could likely be converted to an indoor-only cat. Her adoption fee is 75 which is strictly to help cover our costs. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative) spayed microchipped vaccinated defleaed and dewormed plus you get a free vet visit.
