Barney is an adorable little guy. He is full grown at eight pounds and about two years old. Though Barney has the markings of a cattle dog he weighs only six or eight pounds and is probably more of a Dachshund Chihuahua mix. He is Not a dog that can safely be left outside unsupervised due to his size where he could be taken by an owl or coyote. He likes short periods in the yard as long as his humans are there but mostly he just wants to be by your side.Barney is potty trained. He s initially a little shy with new people but soon warms up if you give him time. He is good with other dogs. He is very gentle and would be best in a little quieter home. You never have to wonder where Barney is because he s usually right at your side in your lap or laying quietly on the floor beside you. He would be a great dog to take to work. He would curl under your desk on his blanket and nap quietly. He walks perfectly on a leash. Barney is affectionate cuddly and enjoys walks. Due to his small size he needs to be supervised outside to keep him safe from predators.Barney needs someone to commit to him for life and he will be your very best most loyal buddy.
