She is about 2 years old and 10 pounds. Do to her strong prey drive and ability to escape she is a flight risk and a potential adopter must meet the requirements listed below Phoebe is house trained kennel trained and potty pad trained. She s has a puppy personality so she may need obedience training. She does know down come and up. Even though she know these commands she does get distracted so obedience training would do wonders for her. Phoebe s favorite thing is to get a belly rub while she cuddles with you on the couch. She is very friendly with people and would do well as an only dog. Must have a secure fenced yard at least a 6ft tall because she has a strong prey drive and will jump over a shorter fence. The bottom of the fence must be secure and sealed as she digs to go after rabbits squirrels and birds. She cannot be outside unsupervised ever. Should have obedience training if you are not trained in obedience training. Must work with her on anxiety issues. She frequently experiences separation anxiety when left alone (scratching doors or molding). Must work with her on socializing with young kids and other dogs. She may not be a good fit for a home with younger kids. ADOPTION EVENTS Please understand that all of our pets are in foster homes and sometimes life happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. FOSTER CARE All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal s behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.
