We are a foster based rescue we do not euthanize dogs marked URGENT have not been saved yet from the kill shelter they are in due to lack of space we can not rescue if we have a committed adopter in place we can rescue and board for quarantine. If you are interested in an urgent dog please don t wait too long 2 years old 10lbs.Update 6 23 Pixie is doing so much better. I saw her out with a visitor today and asked if I could take some pictures. While Pixie doesn t like sudden moves she was fine being held and even rolled over for some belly rubs. It was obvious that she enjoyed being with her new friend. Later in the day I took Pixie out as well and she was such a little sweetie. I held her while we sat on the picnic table and she watched other dogs playing. Pixie is a dear girl and will be a wonderful companion for someone who s looking for a quiet little dog who s happy to be in your lap.Update 6 23 Pixie has tested NEGATIVE for heartworms Pixie is brand new to the pound and really scared. But not too scared to come close enough to eat tasty hotdog slices tossed to her or even very carefully from your hand She s still too scared to leave her run or let a stranger pet her. She needs some days to adjust. For now I took pictures in her kennel where she let me sit near her while she enjoyed the treats. Pixie is very cute and she will probably loosen up in a few days....
