Relaxed Social Independent This little lady is Queen and she has raised 7 ornery kittens with grace and dignity. She and her kittens were brought to the city shelter as strays and while Queen was extremely thin she made sure all of her little babies were fat and healthy. Though she spent some time on the streets she s very much a people cat She loves getting affection from everyone even complete strangers and will follow you from room to room. She s not really a lap cat but doesn t mind being picked up and held for short periods of time and has no qualms about curling up next to you in bed or on the sofa for even longer Queen has also learned to get along with other cats (she made fast friends with a pair of affable 4-month-old kittens) and even mellow dogs though she might take a little time to adjust to new companions. Queen has spent over a month in foster care getting some much needed TLC and is now enjoying the luxurious life of a retired mom lounging about in sunny windowsills. She also enjoys chatting with you and isn t particular about the topic (she s very open-minded). Though she s past her kitten years she s still quite playful from time to time. Queen loves catnip cardboard cat scratchers will chase after feather wands and small stuffed toys and even enjoys the occasional jaunt down a crinkle-tunnel but she also doesn t mind laying around for large chunks of the day if you re busy. Queen has excellent litter box manners and prefers canned food over kibble (though she will eat both). She also really enjoys crunchy cat treats preferably in chicken or beef flavors She s very well-behaved and doesn t try to get into anything she shouldn t but is quite curious about the outdoors still and might try to run out the front door if you leave it open too long.
