Cooper was discovered frantically running around a gas station. Fortunately a gentle man nearby noticed him and stayed with him for an hour because he was so sure someone would come for Cooper. When no one came the kind man took him in and looked after him for about two months. Sadly this caregiver soon realized that since he worked such long hours it wasn t fair to Cooper that he have to spend so much time alone. It was then that he reached out to DREAM to help in finding this boy his loving forever home Cooper is a handsome red Dachshund and is a very sweet happy go lucky big boy. He loves everybody loves to cuddle and will follow you everywhere. Of course his favorite spot is right in your lap Anyone who comes to visit will find a cuddly Cooper in their lap almost immediately His foster mom tells us he gets along well with her dogs especially Zoe whom she thinks is in love He is a little unsure of the big dogs trying to play with him but he is getting the hang of it and runs happily all round the yard. He s still learning to understand what his humans want from him and will lay down on his side until he is sure its ok. He doesn t have a mean bone in his body he s neither food nor toy aggressive. He once tried to stick his nose in the other dogs food but quickly learned that wasn t such a good idea.Cooper knows sit come and he is getting really good at stay. He s been working hard on house breaking and is now mostly potty trained. He walks pretty good on a leash but is not real fond of being in the car unless he can be right beside you. He is heartworm positive but treatment is well underway Our vet says that Cooper is a young fellow at just 12 to 18 months old so he has a lifetime of love and companionship to share Interested ...
