Jess - Female Labrador RetrieverGerman Shepherd Dog Mix

This dog is located in Tennessee. Adoption Donation 150 in TN 200 plus transportation fee for out of state adoptions. Jess is a 2-year-old fun-loving Lab German Shepherd mix (it s a guess) who came to us because her dad is seriously sick and the family has more than they can handle right now. This big girl adores people and enjoys playing with other dogs. She s curious about cats but isn t aggressive (though may chase if given the chance). Her bag of tricks includes the commands to sit shake hands and go for a swim (in her wading pool she LOVES the water). Though she tends to pull when on leash (and will bolt or play catch-me-if-you-can if allowed freedom) she is learning polite behavior when going for walks. She entices play with humans by sticking her Nylabone out one side of her mouth and races to fetch it if someone will toss it for her. Release is another command she is learning as an alternate to tug. She will share her food with you if you stick your hand in her bowl and she takes treats politely. Right now Jess is being fostered in a private indoor outdoor kennel where she has shown housetraining courtesy ever since she was surrendered. At about 70 pounds she is heartworm negative has been microchipped and spayed and is on preventatives for heartworms fleas and other parasites. Healthy playful loving this dog is looking for a fenced yard and an active family (probably a bit tall and rowdy for toddlers) who will play during the day and cuddle when night draws near.
