Sassafras - Female Hound (Unknown Type)Dalmatian Mix

Hi there My name is Sassafras (but my foster family calls me Sassy) I am approximately 1.5-2 years old and they think I am a Dalmation pointer mix. My foster mom tells me I am adorable with all of my spots no matter where they came from. I am a sweet happy girl who loves all the members of my foster family including the grown-ups children and their dog. I even get along well with the cats Overall I am a pretty relaxed girl who likes to lounge on the dog bed in the living room at my foster home.My foster mom thinks that life started kind of rough for me as a stray so I am still learning my manners. I know to come when I am called but haven t figured out basic commands such as sit and shake. I am a smart girl so I think I will be able to learn these quickly. I am house trained. I was crate trained when in foster care and did fine with that. I do pull a little when on a leash as I am curious about where we are going so my foster mom is going to start putting a harness on me to see if that helps. At my foster home there are a lot of toys with squeakers that I am beginning to understand. I haven t had a lot of toys to play with so this is a new experience for me. There is one that happens to be my favorite-it is a snake with 4 squeakers Maybe my new home could have a toy like that for me to play with. I am also a little bit of a talker and I make a variety of noises depending on what I am trying to say. I enjoy attention particularly ear rubs and scratches on the black spot right above my tail. My foster mom has even shown me how fun belly rubs can be Who knew I am UTD on all of my shots and am currently on heartworm and flea preventative. I am spayed and microchipped.
