Lady - Female Chihuahua Mix

Lady Bird is a 5 year old Brindle colored long haired chihuahua. She came from a breeding hording situation out of Idaho. She is very timid. But I have been able to win her trust. So I know that it is still in her to be a loving and affectionate pet. She will need someone that is very patient understanding and willing to work with her. From the time she came to my house to the time that I could actually pet her without her running away was about 6-7 weeks. She will now let me reach down and pet her and pick her up and snuggle with her. She is really good about potty out side. But in case I don t make it home in time I do put down potty pads and she will use them. She is now protecting me and will bark at anyone that gets close to me. We are working on No Barks and she still has a ways to go on learning that command. Lady sleeps through the night in her own little bed. She does not like being on my bed. She has lost some of her teeth but is still able to eat kibble that is small. I also will give he some wet food each morning. She loves treats but will not take them from strangers. Lady doesn t play with toys but she will get the zoomies and run around my house and yard and run in circles. This is her fun. Lady gets along with my other dogs and she doesn t mind my cat. She will play with my tea cup chihuahua. I do not recommend her with children under 10. She has been tested with my grand kids and she was hiding and barking at them a lot .
