Found your site while searching the internet for information on donkeys. My family last October went for a leisurely Saturday to the local flea market while there we fell in love with the prettiest looking animal we had ever seen and she was tied up between 2 trucks and her owner did nothing but yell at her and smack her the entire time we noticed her as we strolled through the market. This little donkey was precious and I never like to witness potentially abusive situations so my family came home with that cute little gray-dun donkey to love. However after trying to care for over the last 10 mons and all the research I have done in trying to do right by her I don t know that her situation with us is any better than it was before she is not abused or beaten but she is isolated from other donkeys. Here she is alone she lives in our backyard she loves to play but somehow I don t think that playing with a human herd is the same as with other donkeys....
