Meet Eva Sweet little Eva or Eva the Diva as she is also known is one of 9 small dogs taken in by a friend of MMR after their elderly owner passed away. MMR agreed to help the dogs find their forever homes and took them all into our care. Eva is a 6-8 year old(vet estimated) Chihuahua. She weighs a whopping 6 pounds and it has been suggested that she loose about a pound.....she is a little chubby.Eva may have some other breed in her lineage but we cannot be sure.....she looks (mostly) like a Chi and has all the personality traits of one as well. Eva s former owner loved all the dogs very much but due to her failing health and eventual death they did not always get the vet care they need. Eva is now spayed up to date on her vaccines and has received a dental and some extractions. She was found to be heart worm positive in the 2015 when she came into care and has been successfully treated and has no lingering effects form the heart worm. She receives a monthly preventative to make sure she never has to fight that disease again. Her only other issue was a bout of pneumonia in the spring and she has fully recovered from that as well. There was no underlying health reason for the pneumonia but we think she may have aspirated some food...and that may have caused it.
