Starla is a 8-9 year old (Brindle Tennessee Tree Walking Hound Mix or Brindle Plott Hound Mix ) She was picked up as a stray in a rural Tennessee area and found herself in a shelter with no one claiming her. Starla is a great girl with an out going personality. She is crate trained and potty trained and does pretty well on a leash. She loves to go for walks or play outside. She LOVES a swimming pool She LOVES a cushy pillow blanket and a stuffed toy to be with her while in her kennel area. There are times when Starla is cautious with strangers when it comes to her possessions and food. It appears that Starla has had a few litters and perhaps those pups were taken away from her too soon and that could be one of the reasons behind her caution. However Starla is wonderful with all her caretakers and extremely affectionate and always willing to share her things if you play with her. She is great with doggie friends her size She would do great with active energetic adopters that enjoy the outdoors short walks and even hikes. We suggest that Starla go to a home with no small children or small dogs. She has been around mid-size to larger dogs and does fine with patience and proper introductions. She is fully UTD on vaccinations spayed and heart worm negative. Starla is ready for a home to call her own.
