Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday July 30th and Sunday July 31st from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed neutered shots current (DHPP Bordetella and Rabies where applicable) dewormed flea and tick treated and microchipped. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. We do not ship our dogs for any reason. Our adoption fee is 400 for each dog puppy. If it is on a weekend of our adoptions follow us on (at)DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. However we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed. Birch is an 8 month old Morkie (Yorkie-Maltese) who weighs about 9lbs. He is friendly and outgoing. He is full of life and is just a little pup. He was listed as a stray at the shelter. No one came to claim him and we were there picking up another dog and the shelter staff asked if we wanted to meet him. Of course we did Mr. Personality...He immediately climbed in our laps and was super friendly and outgoing. He s a total lover boy. He s a snuggler and a cuddler. Birch is currently being fostered with other dogs. He lives with big and little dogs. He gets along with everyone. He is a meeter and a greeter type. He s a lover not a fighter. If no one will play with him then he entertains himself by throwing his own toys and chasing after them or jumping up and down on his crate and running in and out as if he s playing Hide and Go Seek . He s quite the little character. Gotta love this little guy... Birch is an option to live with cats as he currently lives with them. He is an option to live with kids over the age of 7. He is an option for a first time dog owning adult home. Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend) If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it.
