Merida was named Merida because I needed her to be a strong willed courageous fierce fighter. (She is named after the tough red head in Disney s Brave). Merida was 8 weeks old under 2 pounds and knocking on death s door when she joined the rescue with her 5 much bigger and stronger siblings. She spent 4 days and 3 nights in critical condition under the care of numerous vets. At the end of the 4th day the vet felt there was nothing more they could do medically and sen t her home with her me her foster mom. With the comfort of her brother and sisters near Merida fought. And she fought hard. She was touch and go for over a week but she pulled through And is now living up to her name sake. She is a little firecracker always ready to romp with the big dogs. Although she is the smallest of the pack here she wants to be the alpha and she will attempt to let EVERYONE know it. She loves to run chew on her toys rough house with others or cuddle in your lap. She is a total sweetheart who appreciates those who care for her. She is not spayed yet but that will be included in her adoption fee.
