Kanye is quite the entertainer. He loves to play and enjoys a nice massage. He was surrendered for not being house trained but he went potty every time we took him out and did not even mark indoors. To be sure of success someone needs to be available to take him out to an area where he will potty (he went on the grassy area and a tree here) often. He did not take himself out in his home even though he had access to outdoors. He would prefer to be with you out there anyway.This little guy is full of antics. A physically capable family who is mature at least over sixteen is recommended. He comes with a few foibles. For one he likes to guard his toys. He was willing to trade for excellent (in his opinion) treats. Same goes for his guarding his chewies. We can show you a program that will work to help him learn to share but he should not be around children nor people who will reach for his stuff.He did well with some dogs he met although he barks and pulls when he sees other dogs on leash. Keep your distance and teach him that watching you is his job. Not so simple but he is up to the work.Kanye had a hard time adjusting to being with us but has come out of his shell. His way of dealing with fear is to growl to make the bad thing go away . Well he is a terrier they are bred to act before thinking things over. Motivational training is the only way to go with him as corrections are not well taken. He is a smart little guy who hasn t had a chance to learn about the bonds with people who will spend enough time and hopefully Small Dog Classes Introduction to Scenting and maybe even Agility. He can jump up when he wants to sit by you. Kanye is not a good dog for many households but he has the stuff to be a really good dog for a home that will work with him. We enjoyed spending time with this little brilliant dog who needs structure and training. We can tell that he has what it takes.
