Meet Petunia she s a 3 year old lab pitbull mix. She weighs about 50 pounds but she s a lot of muscle and a little overweight she looks like a smaller size lab. Petunia has been waiting so patiently for a spot with rover rescue actually she s waited a year and a half and she s finally here. She came from a high kill shelter in Indiana but her love for people and getting along with other dogs (except for dinner time) is what saved her. She was so well liked that a foster took her in just waiting for someone up north to request her. She s a very nice girl. See seems to be quiet and housetrained even though she s been in a 4 X 6 kennel for over a year. I was told she wasn t too fond of cats but she rode in my car right next to a crate with some kittens and didn t seem interested at all but seeing I was told she didn t like them probably a kittyless home would be best. She s fine with other dogs and likes to play with them but I m told she must be fed separately from other dogs so she ll be fine either with another friendly dog or a single pet home where she gets all the love. This girl has been with people now for quite some time so given that history don t think there will be any issues. UPDATE After having Petunia over a week now I have found her to be a very friendly girl. She loves loves. loves toys. She also loves to play fetch and she can run like the wind however she needs to learn to give the ball back. She is for the most part a very quiet dog. Doesn t much seem to bother her but she does get over excited at times and she s a very strong girl so older children will be best for her. She gets along fine here with the other dogs but does seem a little possessive of the toys so I think she will be most happy in a single pet household. She did have a few accidents when she first came but she was in a kennel for a year and a half and she s already showing great improvement I would say she s almost fully housetrained. The shelter estimated her at about 3 but she just seems a little younger to me. She s a very silly girl who loves to play.
