(Aug 14) from 12 2 PM at the Unleashed by Petco (1855 Wisconsin Ave. NW Washington DC 20007) RICH NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME Name Rich Breed Chocolate Lab Mix Approximate Age 13 weeks as of 7 25 16 Approximate Weight 15 lbs Currently Living at DC foster Hi Hi Hi My name is Rich Despite the fact that I am absolutely adorable (some would even say devastatingly handsome despite my young age) I ended up at a shelter down South without a home to call my own. BUT the good news is I got to come to DC in hopes of meeting my forever family I m hoping they will take me on walks and visits to the dog park. I m looking forward to snuggling up with them at night getting some belly rubs and even maybe a few treats So a little bit about me. I m such a handsome little pup if I don t say so myself Ok seriously though I have a shiny chocolate coat with a little white nose a white tummy and white tip on my tail I m a chocolate lab mix and I m only 13 weeks old right now so I ll definitely be growing from my current 15 lbs Chances are I will be a medium to large sized dog but who the heck knows I have LOTS of puppy energy to burn so an active family would be great. I ll also need someone who is home a lot so that I can take much needed puppy bathroom breaks I also LOVE LOVE LOVE other dogs and could probably grow up being friends with cats or even a kid so a sibling wouldn t be half bad either. I m even willing to have a human sibling too. See how flexible I am So do you have room in your home for me Rich is not old enough to have had all of his vaccines. It will be your responsibility as the adopter to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that until your puppy is fully vaccinated he is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog. H e has had 2 out 3 of his puppy shots. Until he is 10 days past his final shot his new family will need to keep him isolated from public areas like sidewalks dog parks etc. Due to his young age Rich has not yet been neutered. As part of the adoption contract it will be your responsibility as the adopter to ensure that this is done no later than 10 15 16. Like most puppies Rich will need to work on his housetraining. Rich will also need to go to obedience school so he can grow into a well-socialized dog The adoption fee for this dog is 400 which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
