You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Adoption Pending. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Rescue Dogs.Sampson is a very sweet and gorgeous three legged Pyr Lab mix with a very kind and gentle nature. He just wants to be your best friend and forever loyal companion. He has the most lovable face and his foster parents can t say enough good things about how sweet he is. This handsome fella thinks everyone he meets is great (except UPS delivery guys) and will follow anyone around for more head pats and tummy rubs. His favorite thing is to rest beside you and put his big ole head on your lap and look at you with his big brown trusting eyes. Sampson is just about 4 years old and adores other dogs is oblivious to cats and is fully house trained. He loves gentle play with his Pyr foster sister and taking long naps indoors beside her. Formerly a farm dog he now absolutely loves being an indoor boy and always prefers to be where he can see his family. He lost his rear leg in a farm accident before rescue and shortly after being rescued his only remaining rear leg had a weakened ACL and it completely tore. He needed extensive surgery to repair the knee or he could hardly walk or run again. He was very brave and never gave up. His surgery and rehab were highly successful and he now runs and gets around better than ever. Luck was with Sampson and it seemed a bit of a miracle when our rescue received a new application from a kind family offering to foster and it seemed like fate when they joyfully picked him up and took him home to begin his new life as a loved family member. They have loved this boy very much and you will too. Please consider making Sampson a part of your family. He deserves the best of homes. Aside from missing his leg he is in excellent health but will need a home with minimal steps and floor rugs so that he will not slip and fall. Daily walks are important to help keep Sam s legs strong. He loves to sit outside though so a fenced yard is required for him. He is just a big happy boy to be around and really seems to appreciate every bit of kindness shown to him.
