Well hello My name is Lilith and as you can see I m a cute little Border Collie and Lab mix. (No really I am ) If you ve met any of my kind then you know I m not for the fair weather dog owner. I need a dog NERD. Now you might be wondering if you are a dog nerd. You re a dog nerd if you love love love learning new things and teaching them to your canine companion (Yep I m a smarty pants who is food and play motivated and I ll thrive with humane rewards-based training and a job of my own.) You re a dog nerd if you will make sure I have enough physical and mental exercise regardless of rain wind feeling crummy or those busy days. (Yep I m a busy pants driven smart pup who does love a good dig or chew if you don t meet my needs. Heck I might even find a way to take a stroll around the block on my own.) You re a dog nerd if you will prioritize my emotional needs and make sure that I learn that the world is actually a safe place and that people are trustworthy. (Yep you guessed it--I can be sensitive and fearful.) You re a dog nerd if having a bit of a project dog doesn t intimidate you. (Yep. I plan on keeping you on your toes but we ll have so much fun I promise ) So do you think you re a dog nerd Great Then let me tell you about a couple more of my needs I need to be your only pet--that includes poultry and small animals. I need a home with older kids--I ve tolerated younger ones and have been friendly with them in the past but I really am most comfortable with more mature humans who will understand and respect my comfort levels. I need a home with secure fencing at least six feet tall and someone who will remember to lock the gates (I ve been told I m too smart for my own good...). I ve lived as an inside outside dog am crate trained and house trained and I even know some basic training. I love to play with people (albeit a bit physically and herdy) and I will be ever-so-loyal to you once we get to know each other.
