Tonga - Female Labrador Retriever Mix

My name is Tonga and I am a 2-year old female 75 pound Labrador retriever mix. I was hit by a car in north Georgia and the Animal control people took me to the nearest shelter. My right front leg was really hurt and the shelter was going to have to euthanize me if a rescue group did not step up and get me STAT. Angels Among Us Rescue were my angels and took me to a top notch vet right away. My leg is slowly healing and I will have to wear a cast for another 6-8 weeks. The vets said I also have heartworms but my Angels are making sure I get treatment so I will get rid of them. I will not be ready to be adopted for another 2-3 months but I would love to meet a family who wants to pre-adopt me so I can join them when I am all better. I am good with big dogs and big kids (over 10). I am still a puppy at heart and my size and energy do not mix well with little dogs little kids or cats. I definitely need room to run and play although if a family is willing to exercise me everyday I will be ok without a fenced yard. I am fully house trained and crate trained although I much prefer to sleep in the bedroom with my people. I do not have much leash training and because of the heartworms I cannot go on long walks or do a lot of strenuous playing just yet.
