MEET BELLA - BELLA is a super sweet smooth 6.5 year old black and tan Dachshund who is in need of a super sweet loving family. She is fun enjoys playing and cuddling. BELLA will do best in a family with a stay at home parent (work from home or retired) and only older children (over age 12) who are familiar with the special needs of Dachshunds. She could do well with a neutered gentlemanly male Dachshund as a brotherly companion.Like all Dachshunds BELLA is high energy and enjoys playing and warming her little bones in the sunshine so along with regular walks around her neighborhood BELLA needs a secure fenced yard to run around and explore safely. While small in stature doxies are big on personality and don t generally do well in apartments with all of the noises and traffic that come with multiple dwellings in a confined space. To best set up our doxies and their new families for success ODR Inc. adopt to families who live in single family homes with secure fenced yards.OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print) Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home stay at home work part time Have a securely fenced yard We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together and children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets hamsters etc). Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues many were surrendered because of these issues. WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE All our dogs are fully vetted including spay neuter rabies DHPP Bordetella Pyrantyl nails trimmed and dental when needed. They ll come with a basket of goodies food toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is 495 sorry no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them vet them and take care of them while in our rescue.
