Anya and her best friend Una will require a yearly vet exam. This is to make sure their skin ears weight heart and everything else is in good shape. These two are young and if well cared for should live to be 5-7 years old. They need a cage at least this big if not bigger. We think they would be fine for any family.There should be two hiding boxes one for each girl in their cage. Sometimes they will share one but most often they like their own space GP s enjoy chewing on wicker and wooden toys blocks that you can get at pet stores. They also like to chew on toilet paper rolls that can also be stuffed with hay. They do not need treats or salt licks.Both girls were really easy to do a nail trim on. This will need to be done about every 4-6 months. They will need time outside of their cage every day (inside of course). Find a safe area in your home where they can t get caught behind something or crawl into a small space..like a long hallway or a small bathroom. Put some towels down in case they potty and it ll help with traction. This helps move food through their body and keeps their muscles stronger.They should be picked up with both hands because they have very delicate spines and bodies. If not held properly or dropped they can easily be injured.Their cage should not be placed near heat or drafts. It must be cleaned every 2-3 days so they stay healthy and it won t get smelly.
