Willie is not quite 4 and raced 109 races before coming to us as part of the Tucson Greyhound Park closure. Willie does fine with small dogs and cats. So. Millie and I arrived at the ranch the same day. Coincidence or fate She s a pretty girl so I choose to believe it was fate. We were meant to be together at least for now. We re both super excited about finding forever homes even if we can t stay together.I think I m going to do well as a pet greyhound. I m already quiet and well behaved. I like people and get along with other dogs. Because I m still trying to figure out what s expected of me I watch they people closely and really like when they reassure me. It s a great big world out there and I feel better with a person by my side. No surprise I m really good at the Willie come here game. If you would like to be my forever mentor person and teach me all about living as a pet I promise to be a good boy and love you forever. I m ready whenever you are. FOSTER UPDATE Willie Nelson is a character. He is friendly curious and a little goofy. His is a velcro dog every where I am he is. Willie is small for a male only 65 pounds. He has beautiful black fur that looks like velvet. Willie is shy about taking anything out of my hand and doesn t understand treats yet. He was initially protective of his food but is getting better. Willie had a couple accidents in the house after first arriving but now uses the doggie door. He does okay on the leash. Willie barks when he plays or sees his shadow in the glass. He doesn t squeak toys yet but loves to carry them around and play with them. Willie woos along with sirens on TV while there were sirens on. Willie is still being trained not to jump up because he likes to give hugs. We would not be a good choice for anyone young or old with balance issues.... More Info
