Hi my name is Sierra I m a beautiful 3 year old floppy eared short haired mix of the All American Dog at 35 pounds of striped joy. Shy at first I am loyal and loving. I am house broken with a dog door spayed chipped and fully vetted. I have no medical issues. I am gentle and love to play with toys and get my belly rubbed. I m smart and I really want to learn anything you want to teach me I want to spend time by your side - that s my favorite thing to do. I like walks (and did I mention playing Playing is just the very best thing). I think hiking would be fun too. I do however need to be the only dog in the house. My life before rescue was a nightmare - first I was abused then I was dumped in the desert to die and then I was taken in by a hoarder and lived on a chain around 60 other dogs who frequently fought and died. I never knew kindness or petting or love before rescue. I feel compelled to chase kitties and small things that run. I get overwhelmed by other dogs and small children - even if they re nice to me. My foster mom tells you these things so you understand what I ve been through. She also wants you to know that I LOVE PEOPLE. Once I understood that nice people existed I really really wanted one of my very own I m not destructive I only bark at the train and I will smile at you and wag my tail like crazy when you come home and tell you every day just how happy I am to be your girl. I like men and women equally. I take a little bit to decide you re okay so please don t take it personally if at first I don t recognize that you re my perfect person. I will always love you.
