This is the Animal Description Header Pooch is a sweet charming boy with a calm and laid back demeanor. We are looking for an adult home that will allow the space and time he needs to settle in that is not a social epicenter. He does have some anxiety issues - he does not like to be hugged or restrained nor does he take to surprises. Pooch has developed guarding and possessive traits around his chosen pack leader and for this reason should be kept to sleeping on his own bed separate food area etc. Pooch likes to hang with dogs that are smaller than him. FOSTER NOTES 9 5 16 Pochie is still a really great dog. He has been with me a week. I have been taking to the dog park in PR. He is really good there nice with the other dogs and people. He has a big run and then settles down to sniff. He will sniff with other dogs a play chase. Still doesn t get balls. He is friendly with both men and women. Has a lovely way of leaning against someone who pets them. Likes to sleep on couches and beds. Loves walks likes treats who doesn t. He would like to chase cats and squirrels. Eats well. doesn t beg for food or treats. FOSTER NOTES 8 23 16- He is a wonderful dog. Very friendly with all people nice with most other dogs. He is very attentive. He clearly wants to live in a home with someone to love him and uses his intelligence to figure out what the person he is with wants and how he can please them. He will looks his caregiver in the eye. I never had a dog I have had 7 over the last 50 years that was so attentive and so willing to show his wish for a home. I love you in every look. Well behaved in the house. No unauthorized chewing getting into waist baskets and such. He will sit. He would probably be easy to train more fully. Not at all food defensive. A calm animal. He loves to go for walks he doesn t pull on his leash. All in all I think he would do well in a calm household with someone who would love him as much as he wants to love someone. What a great dog.
