SHERRY - Female Boxer Mix

Oh Sherry my love-- hold on. Hold on.With apologies to Journey I sang this song incorrectly all through the 1980 s and now it s my constant ear-worm when I walk and talk with Sherry the Boxer. This Sherry is a wonderful girl-- a beautiful white spayed female around 2 years old at that perfect point past the puppy stage but a young adult. She s housetrained and good with kids and most dogs. It takes awhile for Sherry to warm up to other animals. Even dogs. She is very defensive at first. But once she gets comfortable and begins feeling safe she is the cutest playful dog. She is the best of friends with my parents Australian Shepherd now but it took a good hour or so of them getting to know each other before I could take her off her leash. She loves to give nibbles and love bites when playing. But she NEVER showed any signs of aggression toward a person big or small. She was great with my two nieces 6 and 3 years old. She wants to chase cats so might not be a good fit for a home with cats.Sherry is also incredibly loving. She loves to cuddle and will make room for herself in the most uncomfortable positions to just be able to cuddle with you on the couch. She thinks she is a little dog. When she gets riled up like when we were wrestling with her or playing she will bark every so often. But she never once barked at the doorbell or mailman. She does bark at other dogs though. Sherry loves car rides. She would get super excited whenever I put my shoes on. And she is extremely smart. She is very responsive to NO when in the house and learns quickly. Sherry is just the most loving dog you could have. If someone is looking for a loyal companion that would follow them around cuddle and go on fun adventures with she is the perfect fit. For more information or to meet Sherry contact the Foster Department at -----X x- or --X(at)----XX. Sherry s adoption fee is 88 which includes this year s vaccinations (excluding rabies) deworming spay surgery microchip a certificate for a free exam with a participating local veterinarian and a slipleash to take her home....
