Sass Rescue was called and sprang into action when the shelter contacted them about little Tippy a 9 year old Chihuahua Dachshund mix. She had been there for some time and she needed out. She is now in a wonderful foster home. Her foster mom had to put some weight on her before they could spay her. She had some bad teeth so all but one had to be pulled. But that doesn t slow her down at meal time. Foster mom softens her dry kibble with water and she eats just fine. She had a very hard time walking when she was first saved but she is getting stronger and stronger by the day. Since she is a very mellow dog and doesn t bark unnecessarily and is rather quiet she would also be good in an apartment. She is only 8 lbs. so she is easy to pick up to take out to potty if needed. She will walk out on her own if foster mom opens the door for her. Foster mom has been working on house training for the past couple months and she is doing great. Some mornings she will wake foster mom up with a chirp early in the morning to go out to potty. She likes to be inside and enjoys long naps on her doggie bed. She does a very cute tippy toe happy dance when foster dad gets home. She is a sweet girl who likes to be touched petted and held. She gets along well with the other dogs in the home both large and small. Tippy is a happy and content little dog that is very low maintenance.
