Scout - Female Domestic Shorthair

Adventurous playful affectionate Scout is one amazing kitty girl She was born outside to a feral Mom and was completely feral when she came to us. She was scared and wouldn t let us get close without growling and hissing. But it didn t take long for the light bulb to go on. She very quickly realized that humans and other pets could be SO MUCH FUN And once she realized that the party started and it just keeps getting better Scout is easily entertained. She especially loves jingly cat toys and interactive wand toys but this girl can have fun with anything - hair scrunchies contact lens cases laptop chargers toilet paper rolls long hair dog tails cat tails - you name it and she ll play with it. She loves to run chase and wrestle with her little dog buddy. If he gets too rough she ll run away but then find an advantageous position from which to pounce and start the game all over again. Her foster family s older cat is not amused by this game of pounce on your tail and annoy you. Older cats are typically above all of this teenaged rambunctiousness but kittens and teenage cats would surely be delighted to have Scout as their new playpal. Scout is very social and outgoing with humans too. When her people come home from work she ll run around the house in an explosive fit of joy and then climb into a lap for a good snuggle. She loves to be petted and cuddled and she purrs very loudly to express her happiness. She even likes for you to carry her around while you pet her Scout really wants to be in the same room with her people and fellow pets and if she finds herself separated from them by a closed door she ll meow but otherwise she s a quiet girl. Scout always uses her litter box. When she s in a playful mood she ll break into her happy dance in the litter box and scatter litter around but a box with high sides will keep it contained. She occasionally gets a sudden urge to scratch wherever she happens to be but she ll respond well to a quick squirt from a water bottle and a redirect to her scratching post. She does love to explore countertops and other high places. Scout will do best in a home where she has lots of company from people and play-loving pets who want to interact with her. She would fit in well in many situations and she will surely fill her new family s hearts and homes with much fun and joy for years to come If you re looking for a super-fun and affectionate kitty Scout just might be the one for you All APA cats are fully vetted spayed or neutered and have updated vaccines and a microchip.
