He s not fond of the cold dark gloomy and dreary shelter either. He used to know sun and sniff the scent of fresh air of outdoors not inside a closed un-friendly odor of the shelter. Shelter is no place for someone like Bentley He thrives living with energy to play some ball fetching run around on fields or even lie on your lap and get belly rubs and just snooze and of course snuggle with his new family. Since Bentley is a small dog young children would need to be careful and supervised. Without a mechanism for local adoptions all animals not claimed within the mandated hold period are euthanized. For the animals in this rural area rescue is really the only lifeline.
