MUNECA - Female BoxerShepherd (Unknown Type) Mix

This is the Animal Description Header Muneca was an owner surrender at the McFarland shelter because her family could no longer take care of her. This beautiful boxer mix is shy at first but very sweet and friendly when she becomes more confident. Athletic energetic and playful she loves trips to the dog park and walks on the leash however her manners could use some work. Foster Notes 9 14 16 What we have seen so far At home and overall - She is very sweet loves attention and always wants to be in the middle of the action. Even if she is sleeping soundly as soon as you move she is right with you. She loves getting her ears rubbed and will try to convince you to do this as long as possible. This is great for someone who wants a close companion. One of us has spent most of each day with her (but cannot sustain that due to our jobs unfortunately). When we have left her alone (either in a crate when we go out or even when she is just locked out of the shower) she seems to try for some attention then moves on after a minute if she does not get it. The same is true when food comes out. She will beg until she gets nothing then she will lay down next to you. Outside on leash - She is very good on leash. We have both walked and jogged with her and she has done great with both. If kept on a short lead she does not pull or go in random directions unless she sees another dog or animal. We have not had a time where she has interacted with another dog so I am not sure how she would be if we got her close enough to say hi to one but she is pretty focused when she sees one. She is great with other people and will happily go in for a good head scratch. House training - She did pee on a particular rug twice in the first 24 hours when left alone for a few minutes but since we moved that carpet and have kept more of an eye on her she has not had an accident inside since.
