The unit has flat Nickel-Chrome alloy wire winding and the ceramic body is coated with heat absorbing vitreous enamel. OHMITE is the leader in wire wound rheostats for smooth operation durability and reliability. Turning the 3 OHMITE control knob allows the rheostat to absorb up to approx. 500 watts.
